These seconds (and these smiles) before they start repeating “so, we’re going to kill your friend” are priceless.

training always feels a little harder on usagi, unlike popular belief it’s not because she’s lazy & can’t handle the responsibility because even though she wished she could live her life NORMALLY like she has all these years. she was proud that someone like her was fated to defend the earth from the forces of evil & make it a happy place for everyone, however, there were times where she just felt
USELESS. of course they all worked as a team & it was silly for her to feel this way, however, whenever she watched the other senshi showcase their powerful abilities along with a seemingly effortless athleticism sometimes she just felt like maybe she was in the way. this insecurity of hers that no one would even suspect was a thing becomes more EVIDENT once she’s knocked to the floor for the sixth time now for being too slow, it’s so unlike usagi to give up on something & just sit there. once the rest of the team asks her what’s wrong she simply answers that she’s tired & laughs it off in hopes that everyone would direct their focus back to what really mattered instead of worrying about her. although the green suited soldier doesn’t say anything & simply plants a kiss on the blonde’s cheek as if she understood what was happening without a word being said, makoto really was more sensitive than she looked like & that was one of the qualities the moon senshi admired about her. a light blush addresses her cheeks although it isn’t noticeable seeing as they’re already flushed from the physical effort ( which she’s quite thankful for. ) & she just gives her friend a soft smile. “ thank you, mako-chan. “ her voice is unusually quiet but the sentiment is genuine, she’s really GRATEFUL that the other has provided her with the strength & support she needed to get back up & give her best not only for jupiter but for the rest of the team & also herself.
